Collections Officer
Kampala — Bukoto/Ntinda Collections Full-time
Own a portfolio of active borrowers and keep them on track. Collections at Baikal is a service role — clear, structured, respectful, and data-led.
What you'll do
- Manage a daily call/visit list of 150–200 active loans.
- Identify root causes of late payment and offer the right intervention — restructure, guarantor call, or escalation.
- Log every interaction in the collections dashboard the same day.
- Hit weekly recovery targets while keeping the customer relationship intact.
What we're looking for
- Diploma or higher; prior microfinance or telecoms collections experience preferred.
- Disciplined daily call cadence; clear written follow-ups.
- Comfortable using dashboards, spreadsheets and mobile-money portals.
- Empathy and firmness in equal measure.
