1. Who we are
Baikal Financial Services Uganda Ltd is a Tier 4 microfinance institution regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA), with its head office at TMT Atrium, Plot 90, Bukoto–Ntinda Road, Kampala.
2. The information on this website
The product descriptions, loan sizes, repayment periods and interest rates shown here are a general guide. The interest rate, every fee and charge, your repayment schedule and the total amount you will repay are set out in full in your loan agreement, which you receive and can ask questions about before you sign. If anything on this website differs from your loan agreement, the loan agreement applies.
We work to keep this website accurate and up to date, but prices of vehicles and the products we offer can change.
3. Applying for a loan
Sending us your details through this website or WhatsApp is an enquiry, not a loan application or an approval. Every loan is subject to identity checks, a credit reference bureau check, verification by our field officers and our approval. We will tell you if we cannot lend to you.
4. Protect yourself from fraud
- Baikal never charges a fee to enquire or to apply.
- Our staff will never ask you to send money to a personal mobile money number.
- Make repayments only through the official payment channels listed in your loan agreement. If you are unsure, confirm them with us at any branch before paying.
If anyone asks you for money in Baikal’s name, do not pay — call us on 0800 388 744 (toll-free) or message us on WhatsApp first.
5. Staff app downloads
The app downloads published under baikalfinance.ug/apps are for authorised Baikal staff only.
6. Our content
The text, images, logos and design of this website belong to Baikal or are used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal use, but you may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
7. Other websites
Some buttons open WhatsApp or other services run by other companies. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content.
8. Liability
We provide this website for general information. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on general information on the website rather than on your loan agreement. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the laws of Uganda.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
